It all started with the initiative of four friends in the year 1967; two of them were medical doctors, while other two were from business background.
Dr. Debabrata Bagchi, Mr. Niranjan kr. Hirji, Dr. Sisir kr.Bose and Mr. Arun Kr Dey started a small laboratory and X Ray unit in a one room rented apartment at ground floor of a four storied building in the Hindustan Park area of south calcutta .
It was a humble beginning indeed , but with the indomitable spirit of these people, their dedication and entrepreneurial skill , yielded a phenomenal success in growing this unit to one of the most reputed medical investigative facilities of south calcutta.
Despite it's growth and well earned trust of vast clientele, the structure of the unit was getting dilapidated, as the entire four storied building was lacking proper maintenance.
The present owners of the DIAGNOSTICS were feeling the need of a stable building of their own ,where the unit can be relocated.
Luckily they could find one in the same locality and ultimately bought it where the unit was shifted with the name and style of SAS DIAGNOSTICS1967 LLP, and got it equipped with state of the art infrastructure and gadgets of new age technology.
We are happy to dedicate this brand new unit to the service of people.
It started afresh on and from 1st of January 2026.
